David Grim, owner of NEARsports.com, is in his 21st year as a sports journalist. During his career, his work has appeared in:

David served as Sports Editor of the latter two newspapers in 2001.

He has also spent many years in the broadcast booth. David was Sports Director of KSWH-FM in Arkadelphia from 1989 to 1991. He did play-by-play and color commentary for Henderson State University football during his time there. In February, 2002, Grim provided color commentary on KTSS-TV, Channel 50 in Hope, for some of the 7AAA District Tournament basketball games. Currently, David calls play-by-play for football and basketball games on NEARsports Radio, and he voices commercials for Paragould Cable Television.

David, a 1989 graduate of Bismarck High School, has served as event announcer for Bismarck High School basketball games, the 1998 Class AA State Basketball Tournament at Centerpoint High School, the 2002 Class AAA Region IV Basketball Tournament at Prescott High School, the 2005 3AA-North District Basketball Tournament at Walnut Ridge High School, the 2005 Crowley's Ridge College baseball team and the 2005 Williams Baptist College baseball team.
